Granular Sub Base (GSB)

Granular sub-base is a graded mixture of soil, water, silt, stone dust, and aggregates of varying sizes.
The GSB process entails preparing the subgrade top layer and applying, spreading, and compacting well-graded material in compliance with the specifications.
In accordance with the lines, grades, and cross-sections depicted on the plans, or as instructed by the engineer, the GSB material shall be laid in one or more layers as sub-base, lower sub-base, and upper sub-base (referred to as sub-base thus in this instance).
